XENON-SUNTEST
The XENON-SUNTEST is a dedicated testing system built in compliance with ISO 18526-3:2020, designed to carry out solar radiation resistance tests as required by ISO 12312-1:2022.
The test simulates long-term sun exposure by subjecting samples to controlled radiation over a set period. The goal is to assess UV protection and how well the filter holds up after extended sun exposure.
Lenses are inspected before and after the test to detect any clarity, color, or structural condition changes.
The system replicates natural sunlight by using an ozone-free Xenon lamp with a power output of 450 ± 50 W. The Xenon lamp is paired with 4 mm Schott B270 filters that cut wavelengths below 280 nm.
Inside a chamber are positioned 15 adjustable supports that can fit a broad range of lens formats
Sensors continuously monitor lamp output and chamber temperature to keep the test within standard parameters and ensure the cycle time is fully adjustable.
Xenon-Suntest testing device is a must-have for eyewear manufacturers and optical testing control laboratories.
